• The Centre’s cleaning

A clean environment is important to our health.

Therefore AOHK is working together with Enhancing Revitalization In Kibera (ERIK) towards the centre’s environmental cleanliness.

On 10 June 2011, AOHK organised a community meeting at the outcome of which a cleaning of the school was decided. One week later, on 17 June 2011, around 30 community members together with ERIK members worked hand in hand to make the centre’s surroundings cleaner and healthier for the children, the teachers and the whole community.

AOHK is now striving to maintain the cleanliness of the centre on a permanent basis by organizing regular similarly successful cleanings and building on the partnership initiated with ERIK.
